TAYLOR CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES
"The image begins in the camera, and then...?"
Although my husband, Byron, passed away in 2005, he lives on in his art. Both of us began with traditional "wet" darkrooms but moved into the digital world with Canon digital cameras and Epson Printers. In our last few years together, we discovered the facinating colonial towns of Mexico where we were inspired by the bright colors as well as the wonderful Mexican people and attempted to capture this in our work. Hopefully we succeeded.
In addition to Colonial Mexico, I have been very active in equine photography as fine art as contrasted to documentary equine imagery. I have a lovely English Shire mare, a big draft horse, and a very sweet Norwegian Fjord mare, a little draft horse. With Belle, my Shire, I participate in Grass Valley's Draft Horse Classic each September, and with Sigrid (aka Miss Boombah), I compete in CDE (Combined Driving Events). It is all wonderful fun.
You are welcome to visit my studio located in my home in Nevada City, Ca. Also, Taylor Photography is on the Western Nevada County Studio Tour each Oct.
